I provide consultations in the tradition of classical psychoanalysis, taking into account its enrichment with modern advances in the field of psychology and related sciences. The main emphasis in the work is focused on the interpretation of dreams, the analysis of free associations, the elaboration of resistances, the interpretation of transferences and the synthesis of a holistic personality. In an analytical situation, I pay much attention to the client’s period of childhood development, his “forgotten past.” Remembering (not acting out) is the main focus in working together with the analysand. The client is asked to observe the basic rule of psychoanalytic work - “say everything that comes to mind,” even if the thoughts that arise seem ridiculous, unimportant, not related to the topic of discussion, and even if they can cause a feeling of embarrassment or shame. An atmosphere of openness and honesty is encouraged.
A minimum psychoanalytic consultation consists of three sessions of 50 minutes per day. Psychoanalytic work with a client is preceded by a regular psychological consultation of 40 minutes.
Completed 250 hours of supervision with Doctor of Psychology Sergei Vladimirovich Petrushin (European Register Psychotherapist (EAR).
