My name is Arkady. I am a wedding photographer.

Since childhood, photography has captivated me back in the era of film photography. With the advent of digital SLR cameras, the process of processing and “developing” photographs, of course, has become less exciting in comparison with how we once held our breath under a red light and waited with bated breath for a photograph to appear in a cuvette right before our eyes; however, there were also advantages: greater control over exposure and color correction, a more convenient process for batch processing and cropping.

In my work, I adhere to a neutral classical style, both in processing and in reportage and production photography. I strive to make my photographs look technically excellent (with dense, real, vibrant colors), compositionally interesting, and emotionally charged and realistic.

In my photographs you will not see the “jaundiced” faces of brides and purple bouquets, as well as the hackneyed tricks with “the bride on the palm” and “the groom under the bride’s heel”. I photograph weddings the way I would want my wedding, or the wedding of my relatives, or best friends photographed.

In staged photography, I try to ensure that the young people are “filled” with each other and are less distracted by the photographer. I try as much as possible to prompt and guide the newlyweds, while at the same time not “dominating” too much in the wedding ceremony and not distracting the newlyweds from the main joyful event.
