I welcome you to my Yandex service page. Services.
My name is Andrey Karpov, I am 51 years old, born and live in Moscow. I am a psychologist, psychoanalytic psychotherapist and hypnotherapist, I have a scientific degree of Candidate of Philosophy, I work as deputy editor-in-chief of the Journal of Clinical and Applied Psychoanalysis, published by the Department of Psychoanalysis and Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy of the Faculty of Psychology of the Higher School of Economics (NRU HSE).
I began my path in psychology in 2002, when I entered the Moscow Psychological and Social Institute (now a university) to take a course in clinical psychoanalysis. In the period from 2003 to 2004, I studied Ericksonian hypnosis and hypnotherapy with prof. Ginzburg M.R. at the Moscow Institute of Group and Family Psychology and Psychotherapy (IGiSP), received the qualification of a hypnotherapist.
In 2003, I took a course of study personally from the world master of psychology, Max Luscher, in color psychodiagnostics (which became world famous as the Luscher color test, actively used in psychodiagnostics since the 50s of the last century by both psychiatrists, psychologists, and psychotherapists).
In the period from 2005 to 2009. studied at the graduate school of the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences, where in 2009, under the scientific supervision of prof. Gurevich P.S. defended his Ph.D. thesis on the topic “The problem of suffering in the philosophy of N.A. Berdyaev.” When writing this work, I explored the reasons that cause suffering in a person, and showed the importance of understanding the differences between meaningful and meaningless suffering. There is no person who has never experienced suffering, it is rooted in our nature. But when suffering begins to cause too much pain, takes away your joy, and makes you unhappy, this is already a reason to seek help from a specialist. While working on my dissertation, I finally became convinced of my calling – to help people get rid of suffering by providing them with psychotherapeutic or psychological assistance.
Currently I am undergoing training at the Federal State Budgetary Institution “National Medical Research Center for PN named after. V.P. Serbsky" of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation under the program "Clinical psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic pathopsychology", in the same scientific center I participate in the work of a group of psychoanalytic psychodrama working with patients with severe mental disorders, I am taking a course "Techniques of psychoanalysis" in a group under the guidance of a psychiatrist and psychoanalyst, Ph.D. Potapova V. A.
I regularly participate in theoretical and practical seminars and master classes conducted by psychoanalysts who are members of the International Psychoanalytic Association (IPA) and the Paris Psychoanalytic Society (SPP) at the Department of Psychoanalysis and Psychoanalytic Consulting at the Higher School of Economics and the Institute of Psychology and Psychoanalysis at Chistye Prudy in Moscow. .
To this day I continue to learn and improve my practice. For two years he underwent personal psychotherapy within the framework of the cognitive-behavioral approach. Currently, I have been undergoing personal psychoanalysis for more than 2 years. I attend a closed supervision group weekly, where I periodically supervise each of my clients (yes, you can refuse and then I will not present your case for supervision);
I work with adult clients over 18 years of age in the format of individual psychoanalytic psychotherapy and individual psychological counseling.
For every person in life, there may come a time when he needs the support or professional help of a psychologist or psychotherapist. In today's world, taking care of your mental well-being is just as important as taking care of your health and well-being.
Problems you can contact me with:
• difficulties in interpersonal relationships - in the family, in a couple, at work
• loneliness. I want to love, I want a family, but nothing works out. What's wrong?
• crisis situations - separations and divorces, loss of loved ones
• difficult life situation or family conflicts
• mom problems (including a destructive, harsh, cold, narcissistic, dominant, overprotective, depressed, abandoning, or mentally ill mother)

• painful dependence on the opinions of others

I'm LGBT-friendly. What does it mean? I know very well how important it is to feel that the other person accepts you completely, with any of your characteristics, treating them simply as facts, with benevolent curiosity and warmth. Therefore, I try to give this feeling to my clients, rather than trying to explore the causes, and certainly not “cure” something that is part of your identity.
As for formulating the problem, it is important to just start talking and the right words will come to you by themselves. During the consultation, I will help you clarify the difficulties you are facing. Experiencing the feeling that “something is going wrong” is quite enough to get started. It is important not to be alone with your problems, but to look for opportunities to understand and solve them.
Consultations will allow you to look at the troubling situation in which you find yourself from different angles. As a rule, a person takes one of the positions: either the other is to blame, or it’s all my fault. But it is important to understand the true meaning of the event - what it means specifically for you, for what purpose the situation causing discomfort arose in your life, how you could contribute to this, what you expected and what you really wanted.
In the course of therapeutic work, you will begin to become aware of your feelings and thoughts, see the values and advantages of your characteristics, be able to understand your true desires, and see your dependence on others. Reflect on the fact that other people are different from you, realize that projections, idealization or devaluation are ways in which the psyche protects itself from unbearable painful feelings. As a result, the intensity of suffering will begin to decrease, new ways of obtaining joy and pleasure will open up, something will begin to lose its significance and leave your life, non-trivial solutions will be discovered for situations that were previously perceived as problematic or hopeless.
The results of psychoanalytic psychotherapy are usually very profound and stay with you forever. Having gained unique experience working with the unconscious, you will acquire invaluable resources and skills for psychological self-help. And most importantly, a special culture is acquired - a culture of one’s own desire and respect for one’s personality.
The most valuable thing a psychotherapist can give is a space of options in which exclusively your, sometimes very intimate or frightening fantasies, thoughts, and answers to troubling questions can arise.
I will help you see what life scenario you are living and why you find yourself in it. We can begin to unravel the deep psychological reasons for what is happening in your life and find possible ways to stop walking in a vicious circle, faced with the same problems, disappointments and pain.
Always near,
Andrey Karpov
